Yingkiong is the headquarters of Upper Siang district in the state of Arunachal Pradesh in India. In Yingkiong, there are one government Higher school and four primary schools. The people are generally inhabitants of Yingkiong which consists of Panggi and Padam etc. It borders China. The siang river is the main river flows through yingkiong and its flood plains provide fertile alluvial soil suitable for agriculture but are not prone to recurrent floods. The Siang, a sacred river in Adi is the only major river flowing through Yingkiong.
