Sheohar is an administrative district in the state of Bihar. It is located at the 125 km west- north from Patna. There is banks of the Bagmati River. The district headquarters are located at Sheohar, and district is a part of Tirhut division. This district carves out of Sitamarhi district in 1914. Agriculture is the main stay. It is a most flood affected district in Bihar. Due to over flooding of the Bagmati and Budhi Gandak rivers. Dekuli is a holi palace popular for ancient temple lord shiva. As of 2011 it is the second least populous district of Bihar, after Shekhpura. The main occupation of the people of this district is agriculture. All types of crops are produced, Varieties of rice, Wheat, and a number of rabbi crops are produced. Dipawali, Chhat, Durga pooja, Holi, and etc. are favorite festivals in here. Generally People are spoken language in Bhojpuri, Maithili and Bajjika . Official language in Hindi.

How to reach

By Road :- There has no any railway station  and junction. The nearest railway station is Sitamarhi Railway station. It is 26 km from Sheohar

By Air  :- The nearest airport is Jayprakash Narayan International Airport Patna,130 km from Sheohar.
