Malappuram is a city in the Southern Indian state of the Kerala.  Malappuram is the administrative headquarterof the Malappuram district. Malappuram Urban Agglomeration is the fourth largesturban agglomeration in Kerala. Malappuram Situated on the  50 km Southeast of Kozhikode, 90 km northwestof Palakkad and 140 km from Coimbatore. Malappuram is situated in the mid landarea of the state. as the name suggest, it is covered with small beautifulmountains of lush greenery, bounded with several fresh water streams flowingthrough the city bestows a harmony of natural beauty. Kadalundi Puzha, a majorriver in Kerala is flowing around the city. Malappuram is one of the   few municipalitiesin the state with tremendous record of keeping city clean.
