Anantapur is a city is the district headquarters of Anantapur district in Andhra Pradesh, India. It lies on NH-7. The district headquarters is located at Anantapuram City. Anantapur is familiarly known as "Hande Anantapuram”. It is bounded by Kurnool District on the North, Kadapa District on the east and Chittoor District on the southeast, and Karnataka state on the southwest and west.

Iskon Temple: It is located at Somuladoddi. It is constructed in the shape of a chariot. This spiritual centre is the second biggest ISKCON Temple after the one in Bengaluru, in Karnataka.

Veerabhadra Temple: It is Built in around 16th century, this temple was sculpted by Vishwakarma Brahmin Stapathis.
